With the ability to have a Notebook at your disposal throughout the school day we would like you to think about how this device can improve your education. Please answer the following questions, giving examples to help us gain new insights and provide useful data to determine how this pilot project is working.
1. Since the beginning of school what types of projects and in what classes have your used the Notebook? (written, Web-based, presentation, info gathering, etc.)
2. How difficult has it been to be responsible for the device throughout the school day? Think about the time spent after school on extra-curricular activities.
3. Do you feel that you could give the device back today and not miss it at all? Why do you feel this way?
1. Since the beginning of school, I have used the Notebook for Chemistry, US History, English, and Foods and Nutrition doing projects such as essays, power points, and just research in general.
ReplyDelete2. It has not been difficult being responsible for the device throughout the school day. Using it is helpful for a lot and I keep it in a safe spot where I know I will not lose it and nothing will happen to it.
3. If I was to give back the device today, I would definitely miss it. I use it for many different things which help me to learn material for all my classes (such as notes) and not having it would cause for many papers and disorganization. With the notebook, everything you do on it is stored in one place and as long as you don't lose the device, you will never lose those assignments.
1. Since the beginning of the school year I have used my Notebook in all my classes- Chemistry, US History, AP Literature and Composition, and Foods. I use it to research information, check my grades, make powerpoints, and write papers.
ReplyDelete2. It has not been difficult at all to be responsible for my Notebook. I keep it safe in my backpack and take really good care of it.
3. If I had to give back the device today, I would miss it. I use it all the time and it is very helpful for me to get my homework done efficiently. I think it is better than having a binder because instead of keeping track of hundreds of papers and handouts, you have everything compacted into a single device.
1)As the school year began, I have found myself utilizing this device in all of my classes (chemistry, APUSH, AP Lit, and Foods) for researching recipes to historical documents and writing essays

3)I would definitely miss this computer if it was taken away. It assists me greatly, from doing simple and quick research to collaborating on power points and essays. Ultimately, it keeps me organized and reduces stress. In this sense, I would definitely miss this computer if i were to turn it in today.
1) Since the beginning of school I have used my notebook for chemistry, us history, psychology and sociology and English. I have written essays, done research, taken notes and kept track of my assignments with the notebook.

3) If I had to give the notebook back today, I would definitely miss it. It is very useful throughout the day and it is a lot easier to keep all of my notes on one compact devise then to have to carry around 3 or 4 note books along with my binders.
1. Since receiving this notebook, I have used it for all of my classes (Chemistry, AP US History, and AP English) except for choir. I use it most for keeping notes, because it is a lot easier to keep up with lectures on the computer than trying to scribble down notes. I have also used it for everything from essay writing to research to collaborative projects. Just last night I was able to complete a group project even though my group members were in different towns via Google presentations. I have also been using it to complete my online VLACS Spanish 3 course, as well as for some personal use.

3. I would be VERY upset if I lost my notebook today. I love having it, and I am definitely not looking forward to giving it back at the end of the year.

3. I would not be upset at all if I lost my notebook. While it is of some help and is a useful tool for the classroom, I don't feel it is an essential that replaces the good ol' pen and paper
1) So far this year I have used my notebook in each of my classes as an assignment book, and I have done most of my essays and projects for each class with it. I have also downloaded all of the online textbooks that I can for my classes to cut down on the weight of my backpack.
ReplyDelete2) I have not had a problem with my notebook at all this year in or out of school. During after school activities I usually lock it in my car or on the bus so that isn't a problem, and during school the computer is with me.
3) I don't think I could give up the computer without missing it. It is a valuable tool in all of my classes, and it helps tie my home life and school life together better than any other method I've used.
1) Since the beginning of school, I have used my notebook in my AP English, AP US History, and Chemistry classes. I've used it mainly for information gathering in English, and in AP US History I've used the notebook mainly for doing classwork. My use of the notebook in chemistry class has been limited, but I have used it for classwork.
ReplyDelete2) The difficulty for being responsible for the device throughout the day is minimal, as the notebook is simple to keep track of in its portable bag.
3) If I had to turn in my notebook back in today, I would probably would not miss it much or at all. The notebook serves it purpose in AP US History, but beyond that I feel that its use is limited, and the binders or desktops it would replace work just fine.
1) I have used this notebook to type essays, look up information, follow along with teacher's power points, make power points, and access documents during and after school. I use the notebook in 3 out of my 4 classes: APUSH, AP English and Chemistry.
ReplyDelete2)It is not hard to take care of during school but if I want to leave my bag somewhere after school it is a problem because of the possibility of someone stealing it.
3) I would not like to turn the notebook in today because I am so used to it, but if i started my classes without the notebook I would be fine without it.
Typically I have used the notebook for typing essays and other writing assignments and also for powerpoints. it also comes into use when i need to use the internet for research. APUSH and AP English are the only classes in which i have used the device.
